The Soho Warriors

As part of Goal Click London, in partnership with adidas, Matt Goder Dent and Olivier Sclavo from Soho Warriors took photos of grassroots football across London, from Haggerston and Shoreditch to Fulham.

Haggerston Park: One of my favourite views from Haggerston looking across the city. This is what's great about Football in east London, you always have a reminder of London wherever you turn. 

Shoreditch Pitches: I liked the idea of these kids playing with a beaten up old flat football next to pitches that are ridiculously over priced. Just happy booting the ball to each other away from the serious games taking place a few yards away. 

Estate football Shoreditch: I wasn't aware that this little cage existed. It was actually the noise of the ball against the cage that drew me in. There was one main kid in a Messi top teaching the others how to dribble.

Oliver Sclavo

I took the pictures on Fulham Road while on the upper deck of a London bus. Sunny day, I was showing my friend the Fulham area which is lovely and we were on our way to pay a visit to Craven Cottage. I saw a black and white scarf displayed in that window as people sometimes show up their support for whichever political party they want in power. I loved the fact that the flat upstairs had a Chelsea pennant displayed as well. 

Those little details always reminds me that football is everywhere in this city and often where you don't expect it. The West London rivalry is less known in the modern football world as Fulham and Chelsea don't play in the same category anymore but both stadiums are still really close from each other and the fans share the same area.
