Can you introduce yourself and tell us about your current football life?
My name is Taha Muhammad Salloum. I am 14 years old and I was born in Hama, Sahl al-Ghab in Syria. I came to Lebanon in 2013 and live in Sidon. I have been playing football for seven years. Football is everything to me. It was my childhood love, my favorite hobby and is my eternal love.
I have played football since I was young and my father and my big brother encouraged me. I started playing in school and this extended to stadiums in our city and then with clubs in our region. I am a striker and a key player and playmaker on my teams, BFA (Badih Football Academy) and Saida Sport.
What are your ambitions?
I hope I will continue and join a professional football academy somewhere. My aim is to play in a club that appreciates and nurtures my talent, and to fulfill my dream of going to Europe and playing for European clubs like Inter in Italy. The future of football in Lebanon is unknown. The level is poor.
Football is my ambition, my goal and my future dream, and I am striving to achieve this goal and dream. I want to continue at the highest level. Cristiano Ronaldo is my role model for his skills, fitness and performance, and I hope to become like him in my football career.
What did you try to capture with your photos? Was there a wider meaning with the photos?
I took photos of training with my team BFA and us participating in tournaments in Sidon. You can see my teammates. A lot were taken in Sidon Colden Stadium. I wanted to show my intense love for football.
The photos mean a lot to me, because they tell the story of my career, my love for football, and show my presence in training and matches with my team.
